In June 2019, To The Fairest was the lead sponsor for Thrive’s exhibition garden at RHS Chatsworth. Thrive is a UK-based charity that uses horticulture to change lives – specifically by working with adults living with disability or ill health. The Thrive garden was designed by Richard Rogers (pictured), and was awarded Silver-Gilt medal and was selected to appear on BBC Gardener’s World. In addition to sponsorship, To The Fairest donated hundreds of sustainable-sourced cotton gift bags containing a pack of Rohan Gunatillake’s best-selling ‘mindfulness’ cards, in connection with the theme for that year’s display.

Artist Collaboration

To celebrate the launch of To The Fairest’s first Eau de Parfum, CÉCILE, founder Rebecca commissioned artist Vanessa Buchmann – chief designer at Fleurosity – to create an illustration that captured the mood and essence of the fragrance. This beautiful visual interpretation of CÉCILE references the top, heart and base notes of the scent, while rejecting the conventional ‘olfactory pyramid’ that is often used to describe perfumes. Vanessa is currently working on a new illustration for the forthcoming scent, ORDRE COSMIQUE.

Rebecca writes: ‘I wanted to explore how the perfume might be represented as orbital, drawing the senses into its heart. This is how I think of scent when I wear it, rather than a series of sequential notes. To represent this structure, I commissioned artist Vanessa Buchmann to create an illustration which captured the experience of wearing CÉCILE. Her depiction of citrus fruit, rose petals and clove buds, held inside an azure blue sky with golden rays of sun, perfectly expresses the sensation of this unique scent on warm summer skin’.

To The Fairest collaborated with The Maiyet Collective at their ‘conscious luxury’ pop-ups at Bicester Village in 2019 and 17 South Molton Street in 2020. These unique concept stores provide a showcase for like-minded brands and consumers who share TMC’s philosophy and mission: ‘Through our collective voice, we aim to educate, inspire and create a community of individuals who are committed to changing the way we think, create and consume’.
